Name: Joy Matias Hughes
Nick Name:
Race: Human
Age: Fifteen
Birthday: April 20th
Eye Color: Amber/Golden
Hair: Pink-colored
Height: 4'10
Weight: 83 lbs
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Nationality: Dutch
Appearance: An effeminate lad with mid length pink hair and amber eyes. He walks with an elegance about him, and doesn't seem to mind being mistaken for a girl from time to time. His slender and somewhat petite frame is fitting to his pacifist and introverted nature. The teenager isn't pale by any means, but a tan is non-existent. He tends to dislike wearing a lot of clothes, in true 'natural' fashion, and absolutely hates wearing shoes. A major feature would be his left arm, which is a mechanical prosthetic, due to an incident.
Personality: Joy is an introvert, but by no means does that mean he hates to be around people; He can be very sociable when he wants to be, and when the situation interests him, but other than that, his idea of a good time is thinking with himself. He's a very intelligent boy, though more in the department of philosophic concepts. He doesn't take very much at face value, instead pondering over it. Tricking him isn't very easy, due to lack of gullibility. Joy is a pacifist through his own idealism, and tends to be very 'chill', going with “Live and let live.” when it comes to other people.
He openly challenges authority, and morals; always talking about subjectivity and perception. While generally quiet, he isn't shy, and he tries to get along with anyone he encounters, wanting to spread the love. He definitely loves to challenge authority.
History: Joy grew up in the Netherlands, his father being Dutch, while his mother was from America, and was basically a neo-hippy. Both of his parents grew pot in their house, as well as producing quite a few other drugs. A lot of Joy's personality is the aftermath of his upbringing in a very liberal and free-love home. Joy was probably the only kid in his second grade class who knew how to roll a joint, or operate a hookah. Even from an early age, he was interested in philosophical concepts; the kind of idealism his parents ingrained into him was one of being inquisitive. Besides growing and dealing drugs, his mother was a tattoo artist ((her legacy living on a few parts of his body...)) while his dad was a writer.
When Joy was thirteen, he came home to a local gang trying to impose on his parent's illegal drug sales. As his parents tried to weasel their way out of dealing with the gang members, the police also showed up to bust his parents for their sale of illegal drugs. A fire-fight between the gang and police ensued, and all three members of the family were caught in the crossfire. By the end of it, he had been injured, and lost an arm...But his parents had lost their lives.
several months in rehabilitation later, he was sent to America to his grandmother. He lived peacefully , as she was similar to his parents, and even signed off for him to allowed medical marijuana for his arm pain. Though after only a year, she died, and now with no family in sight....
Other: He owns a motorcycle that he bought when he came to America, and got his motorcycle license. He has taken most drugs at least once. He doesn't consider himself a smoker, but according to him: “Sometimes socially, and definitely after sex. Feels great.”
Hobbies: Reading, thinking, drawing, and writing. He's very artistically driven. He is also very philosophically driven.
