Appearance: A bit arrogant and posh, although due to his recent shortcomings, his fancy clothes may be the only thing that makes him look nice, but when they get too little for him, he may need to wear... *gasp* Normal clothing for most pre-teen boys! His brown hair is usually kept loosely combed and parted quite nicely, always wanting to look his best wherever he goes.
History: John Jacob Astor IX had been born in the mountains of Wyoming, as the youngest member of the very wealthy and powerful Astor clan. He is the great great grandson of John Jacob Astor IV, the richest man who had boarded and went down with the RMS Titanic in 1912. Even after that incident, his ancestors maintained the man's wealth and kept it mostly in the United States, scattered amongst his descendants. Most of it went to Jay's family who had done business in the Rocky Mountains states, split between Colorado and Wyoming. Thanks to his family's wealth, it had kept him well-fed, formal, and elegant. However, there was one fatal flaw: It was unsafe for him to be living alone all the time. Both of his parents lived far away, and had usually kept a full-time babysitter for Jay. But as his babysitter died, his parents finally gave in and sent Jay to live in a foster home they had kept well-funded outside of Denver. Wyatt Shillito has accepted more generous donations from the Astor family, in return for looking after Jay.
Personality: Rather snooty and arrogant. Funny enough, he seems to lack the accent of his ancestors, mostly keeping an American accent, with a slight redneck tone to it. He tends to be quite an anti-socialite, believing that whenever his parents were around, throwing expensive parties for the bourgeois, they were doing stupid conformist things. As a result, he tends to be slightly independent, but still curious when it comes to kids his age.
School: Jay has only gone to private schools, having just finished the 5th grade, and will be starting 6th grade in the fall. He usually slacks off until the last minute, albeit keeping his grades up around the A/B levels.
Interests/Hobbies: Is incredibly competitive, and is an avid gamer. He also sometimes plays plenty of golf, having taken it up while his parents were away, playing at the country club.
Miscellaneous: Fears anything that's "dirty," or "unsophisticated." Also has very little access to his rich parents' money, only having the minimal amount to buy things, should the time arise.
